We share our public parks and want them to be a clean, safe environment for all. By working together with the UPD we can ensure our parks are protected and used properly.
Parley's Historic Nature Park is open to the public from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday.

Sheriff Jim Winder announced today the launch of the Share and Care program, a public service campaign designed to educate the public and to gather usage statistics for Tanner Park and Parley's Historic Nature Park (PHNP).
As part of this program, Unified Police Department of Salt Lake is conducting a public education program by handing out cards and door hangers to residents surrounding PHNP and Tanner Park and directing them to the Care and Share website for more information. Over the next several months UPD officers will be issuing notifications to citizens found violating existing park rules and codes. These notifications are NOT citations and are purely meant for public education and for gathering park usage statistics.
Data gathered from this effort will be published and shared with policy makers to assist them in determining the future of Parley's Historic Nature Park. This effort does not favor any particular user group. Instead the Share and Care program simply aims to assist
City Council members called off the dogs Tuesday night, opting to support Mayor Ralph Becker's management plan for Parleys Historic Nature Park in hopes of working toward a compromise that's more agreeable to both sides.
