On 4-12-12 the Unified Police Department (UPD) will be hosting an open house to recognize the UPD’s dispatchers during the National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. Every year the second week in April is set aside to recognize the great work that is done by these men and women through out the country in regards to public safety telecommunication.
At the UPD we appreciate the great work that our dispatchers do to constantly obtain and relay important information to keep the public, and our officers safe. We want to recognize their hard work by having the open house in their honor. Members of the media are invited to attend the open house. The media will be able to obtain photographs and video of the dispatch center. Chris Dunn, Dispatch Manager, will be on scene and available for interviews.
