About this case:

DeeDee Wach, age 19, was a young mother with a small daughter living with her parents at the time of her death. She was returning home from work at approximately 10:45pm on the night of December 13, 1988.  According to victim and witness reports she was getting out of her car at 3651 W.  Thunderbird Way (4850 S.) and was asked for directions from a person(s) in a car that pulled up and stopper.  She walked to the end of the driveway and was talking to the inhabitant(s) of the vehicle when witnesses reported hearing gun fire.  DeeDee was shot in the chest but managed to make it to the door of her home where she collapsed.  She died a short time later as a result of the wound.
